T2 The Arcade Game Review

T2 The Arcade GameYou are the T800 cyborg, and your mission is to first defend humans in a futuristic war, then go back in time, face off against the T1000 liquid metal unit and save John Conner. This is not your average shooter game, you must use the Super Scope 6 (the gun for SNES). The graphics are phenominal for the game and they come straight out of the arcade and the challenge is intense too, having to save humans as well as in some levels you must shoot cyborgs off of John Conner's truck without destroying the truck and fun levels where you just plane blow holes in the head of the T1000! Great game, normal players will not get too far though!

Yoshi's Safari Review

Yoshi's SafariYoshi's Safari is not exactly the greatest light-gun shooter ever made, but it offers a nice variety of fun to keep you entertained, and it gives you a reason to purchase the Super Scope Gun. The story is about Mario and Yoshi going out on a quest to save Jewelry Land, its two rulers Prince Pine and King Fret, and and retrieve 12 gems under orders from Princess Peach (Holy crap! you don't have to save Peach for once!). So you shoot your way through ten stages of on-rails arcade shooting, destroy familiar enemies like the Koopas, Hammer Bros., and more in familiar Super Mario World-style levels all in the hopes of defeating Bowser (Surprise!) and bringing peace back to the land (Yawn...). The Scope Gun works well with this game and never really feels awkward to shoot. The levels are nicely designed, but the graphics don't seem to have the bright colorful flare of the old 16-bit Mario games. The gun feels responsive and reliable, but while your gun is unlimited in ammo, you have to wait for it to recharge to full capacity to get the best shooting results. Unfortunately, the flaws that cripple this game are its stupidly easy levels and the game is far too short (In my first time playing it, I completed it in just over a half hour and died a grand total of two times). But, if you're a more casual gamer this game will suit you because it's not hard and it's actually quite fun and simple. This may not be Yoshi's best game but its fun nonetheless.
