Tetris the Soviet Mind Game Review

Tetris the Soviet Mind GameThis version of Tetris plays smoother and has more options than the regular NES version. The shapes are not made of separate blocks forming the shape; rather, they are continuous and brightly colored which makes game play easier on the eyes. The goal to form four lines making a "tetris" is the same as the other version.Between each stage you get up to six Russian dancers entertaining you. You get to choose the speed, handicap, and music. Two people can play in different windows or play together in the same window.
The Tengen version of Tetris is rare; I can't recall the exact number made but I think it was a couple of thousand. I have played this game hours on end, it's still my all time favorite NES game!

Product Description:
IT'S A BATTLE OF WITS IN THIS SOVIET MIND GAME! From the land that has produced the greatest chess minds comes a very different mind game. Developed by two Soviet programmers, TETRIS is the first computer game to breach the Iron Curtain. It now stands before you, not as a test of crude brawn, but as an intense battle of wits. TETRIS is a dynamic puzzle that seems easy enough: Rotate and flip mowing geometric blocks into unbroken rows. When you completely fill up the bottom row, it disappears from the screen and your score rises. When enough rows vanish, the blocks descend faster and faster. Nothing to it, right? Wrong! When you can't find the way to make the pieces fit together and more blocks tumble down to clog your screen, you'll wish you had ten hands -- and ten brains.
