I played Musya for the first time a LONG time ago. It's a side-scrolling game in which you use a pike for a weapon. As you progress through the game, you get "power-ups" that give an extension to how far your spear can attack. Now, I'm not saying the spear itself gets longer, but some kind of beam-like extension. The music, graphics, and gameplay are excellent. Each level has a boss from which you get a spell-scroll. One is a lightning scroll, another is a flame scroll. You also can find certain pick-ups that invoke the power of certain japanese (I think) gods that do different things. For example, Asura summons a shuriken storm that kills most enemies on the screen. The only problem is that jumping sometimes poses a problem. It's wise to practice and figure out how the jump works. Aside from that the game is really great, VERY difficult, but great none the less. If you like side-scrollers, GET THIS GAME.
