Wario's Woods Review

Wario's WoodsI was real disappointed with this game. I thought it was a story mode game with Wario "himself". Then I realized it has NOTHING to do with Wario At All!!! NOT COOL!!!

Samurai Shodown Review

Samurai ShodownSamurai Showdown on SNES was better than the SEGA version. Why? Because unfortunately, the SEGA version was a little choppy and a lot of the sounds were taken out. Also, the fat "ninja" who wore pink, Earthquake, was also left out. \
Granted yes the SNES version made no references at all to "killing" your opponent in the pre-match intros but who really paid attention to those? Thought not.
Anyway, the gameplay is pretty basic on here. Hack and slash, occasionally use a special move and cut your opponent in 2. Like a lot of the fighting games of its time and now, it's replay value is somewhat low depending on how into the series you are.
Even so, Samurai Showdown was a good game. Give it a shot. Maybe see if a friend has it or if you still can, rent it.

Final Fight Guy Review

Final Fight GuyAfter Final Fight made it's Super Nintendo debut in or around 1990, Nintendo said in one of it's players' guides that the Super NES version included everything that made the arcade title a winner. Well, that was a matter of opinion, as Guy, the two-player mode, and a stage from the arcade game were removed, possibly due to memory constraints. Roxy, Poison, and alcoholic beverages were also removed from the American version. This, in addition to descrete graphical problems, caused the SNES title to sink while the SEGA CD version was much better recieved.
Former pro-wrestler and newly elected mayor Mike Hagger recieves a threat from a gang called The Mad Gears when he refuses to be corrupted and take bribes (Like that would ever happen in real life!) in exchange for letting them run rampant: They kidnap his daughter, Jessica. What the Mad Gears don't know is that Hagger doesn't take kindly to threats, and Jessica's boyfriend, Cody, isn't too pleased either. In this version, Cody's away in Japan so Guy joins Hagger in the streets to fight the Mad Gears and get Jessica back safely.
This is essentially another version of Final Fight for the SNES. While there are a few improvements graphically, the only major difference is that you get to play as Guy instead of Cody.
It's funny how this story coincides with Jessie "The Body" Ventura's run and victory for governor of Minnesota. This story was written prior to Jesse's run.

Double Dragon 5 Review

Double Dragon 5Take a trip far away from brawling on the streets to a cartoonish Street Fighter II rip off. This is a very poor game, first because it took you away from the past familiar faces of the Double Dragon games and replaced them with the characters from the cartoon series! Then, it puts you into a non random five person ladder tournament where you win a match and you continue working your way up to the Shadow Boss.

Ren & Stimpy Show: The Veediots Review

Ren & Stimpy Show: The VeediotsI tride this lots of times already. I dont really mind about even though they are my favorite cartoons. When you get into stimpys mouth his teath start to go down. You'd be better off getting Stimpys invention for your sega genesis.

Super Adventure Island Review

Super Adventure IslandI cant believe noone has reviewed this yet.At the time of its release it was hailed as one of the best games for the SNES. Today it stands the test of time as one of the best games ever.Hopefully Nintendo will come out with an SNES compilation disc with this game as one of the features.

Robocop vs. The Terminator Review

Robocop vs. The TerminatorI was surprised to see that nobody did a review on this Snes title. This was one of the first games I got along with Super Mario World and Mario All stars. I gave this title 4 stars only because the Sega genesis version is better as far as graphics but both games are very fun to play.

Throughout the game you play as the Robocop (Protagonist) and the weapons you use differ as you progress through the game (pistol, rocket launcher, heat seekers etc.). Its a side scrolling game much like Contra but less face paced and you have a heath meter above that makes it easier to progress further through the game. There is health that you receive throughout the game but as you get further through the levels there are a lot less of them. SO I WARN YOU: This game gets a lot harder when you get closer to fighting the Terminator.

I haven't played this game in a long time and I currently do not own this title but when I'm reminded about my favorite Snes titles this one always comes to mind. Anyway, your enemies include criminals, cyborgs, including the cyborg from Robocop 2 who is a boss fight, terminators and the original Terminator (Antagonist)who you'll have to fight as you progress through the harder levels. I am currently shopping for a Super Nintendo and this title is at the top of my buying list.
