Mega Man X2 Review

DO NOT BUY THIS FROM THOSE SELLERS WHO ARE TRYING TO CHARGE YOU LIKE 100.00 DOLLARS.If you wait until November Capcom has a Mega Man X Collection coming out for a price of only 30 dollars and you get SIX GAMES!

Mega Man games have truly become a part of our gaming culture, and the Mega Man X series got right off to a great start with the first one!The second one is even better!

In my personal opinion this is the best Mega Man X game of them all so far. The only Mega Man X game that even comes close is X4.

To start off, the "capsules" in this give you more enhanced abilities than in the first one.For example one capsule gives you the ability to dash in mid-air, while another gives you a helmet enhancement to pin-point the location of hearts, other capsules, and more secrets.

The music is probably the best of all the Mega Man X games, and the bosses are defenitely worthy opponents.The abilities are great, and not to mention that there are a lot of them this time around.There are also three side bosses.If you don't defeat them you get a special boss just before the final.

If you enjoyed the first Mega Man X game, then this is defintely worth a look for you.

Samurai Shodown Review

Samurai Showdown on SNES was better than the SEGA version. Why? Because unfortunately, the SEGA version was a little choppy and a lot of the sounds were taken out. Also, the fat "ninja" who wore pink, Earthquake, was also left out. \
Granted yes the SNES version made no references at all to "killing" your opponent in the pre-match intros but who really paid attention to those? Thought not.
Anyway, the gameplay is pretty basic on here. Hack and slash, occasionally use a special move and cut your opponent in 2. Like a lot of the fighting games of its time and now, it's replay value is somewhat low depending on how into the series you are.
Even so, Samurai Showdown was a good game. Give it a shot. Maybe see if a friend has it or if you still can, rent it.

Final Fight 2 Review

In Final Fight 1, newly elected Mayor Mike Hagger took on the streets of Metro City. Now he's out to take on the world. Metro City's favorite wrestler-turned-mayor is back to save Guy's fiance and future fahter-in-law with the help of Guy's future sister-in-law Maki, and Carlos, an ex-con whom Hagger somehow helped out. Oddly enough, Guy makes no appearence except for a power-up figurine and a picture in the intro.
Now there is a two-player mode and two new characters on the scene. The Graphics are slightly better in some ways than SNES's first Final Fight, the music is a bit of a let-down, and Maki looks drop-dead gorgeous. That's about the gist of it.
Finally, let me just go on record: in case you have been wondering if anything was taken out of the U.S. version of Final Fight 2, the answer is yes. Like Final Fight and Final Fight Guy for the Super Famicom, the Japanese version Final Fight 2 included at least two female thugs.

Wing Commander Review

Wing Commander is a space flight simulator. The premise of the game is basically that the human race is waging war against an alien cat like race called the Kilrathi.You play a rookie pilot who by the end of the game (hopefully) has made a name for himself.While much of the game is spent completing missions, inbetween those missions you can spend time talking to your fellow teammates in the lounge area, checking out the kill board or getting a mission debriefing.The missions themselves vary from destroying all targets while traveling from one nav point to another to escorting friendlies.The mission view is that from the cockpit. Depending on what ship you are flying the view is different as are the weapons and shields available.You can also talk to your wingmen or taunt the enemy with certain commands.The controls take a bit of getting used to but after an hour or two you should feel right at home.The graphics and music are not that great unfortunately.The graphics are dark and not very detailed and the music is not that memorable.What will keep you playing though is the storyline and the challange.How you perform determines how the war goes. Fail too many objectives and your carrier, the Tiger Claw will be attacked. Complete the objectives and you'll take the war to the Kilrathi! Overall, the game is a lot of fun and is an excellent start to a great series.

Marvel Super Heroes in War of Gems Review

This is one of the funest superhero games i have played. It includes 5 great and popular superheros. Captain America, Iron Man,Spider-Man, The Hulk & None other than Wolverine from the X-Men. The heroes have sworn to protect earth no matter what and thats what they uttend to do in this action packed video game presented from supernintendo.

Mega Man Soccer Review

Mega Man Soccer. Hmm, intriguing, right? Unfortunately, what could've been a decent experiment turned out to be only a so-so execution of a game. Why? Here's the lowdown:
[I decided to write this review a little differently than normal because this way helps get my point across better. With that said, this review continues.]
THE GOOD
The graphics in it are very nice (You even see the characters' backs for a change!). There are a lot of minor characters that are fun to look out for. It's also interesting to see the characters' key weapons making an impact on the soccer ball (examples: Mega Man basically blasts it, Snake Man fires a snake along with it, Gemini Man blasts two soccer balls zig-zagging, etc.).
Also, one of the characters you can add to your team is Enker, the next to final boss in Mega Man (GB). The first Mega Man for Game Boy is one of my favorites and seeing a new character from that game being represented here was a treat.
THE BAD
One of the first things that turned me off about this game was not the controls per se, but the gameplay itself. When you're on defense and you're trying to catch up and attack the opponent, most of the time the game automatically switches to the closest teammate. NOT A SMART MOVE. This makes it often confusing and irritating at times; they should've kept this to a manual option. The music in the game is original, minus two tunes from Mega Man 5 (stage select and password). This was a good move (albeit Mega Man 5 is not a strong game in the series), but most of the music in the game is bouncy, uninteresting, and ultimately not in the Mega Man vein (in which case just mute the sound and pop in some music into your soundsystem, whatever your preference is).
THE UGLY
Story? Dr. Wily tries to take over the world with... soccer. Mega Man speeds to the rescue to combat him on his own terms. Ludicrous story. Also, there is no ending whatsoever to this game, so if you played the game and beaten it, I feel your pity; all that for no ending. Blah!
OVERALL
This isn't an entirely terrible game, but I recommend this ONLY TO THE DIE-HARD MEGA MAN FAN THAT MUST HAVE EVERY GAME IN THE SERIES. The game could've been good except for the lousy gameplay and irritating music. I know that a lot of you might flood me with negative votes for "defiling a Mega Man game," but let's face it... this game is not a classic by any means and ultimately not fun.

Mega Man X3 Review

Anybody who owns a snes I HIGHLY recommend that you get this game. It is the best out of any mega man game. It has awesome armors, hard bosses, lots of secrets, and you can play as zero. Please get this game!

Product Description:
Doppler Town, named after the reploid scientist, was a place where humans and reploids could live in peace.
